Sturmgeschütz 40 G # Ps. 531-21
Chassis number: 95503, MIAG ~ August 1943
Sturmgeschütz 40 G # Ps. 531-21

This vehicle is not in it's original 1943 configuration. On June 26th 1944, while serving as a command vehicle, it took a hit in the roof. The vehicle was evacuated and after the war it was converted into a driver's training vehicle, a Stu 40 K, with a new roof and no gun. It was given a new registration number, Ps.631-1 in the spring of 1956. Re-converted into a normal StuG in 1959 when it again was given it's old registration number. The gun added was of the "Saukopf" -type.
Thus the strange looks of the vehicle today. A 1943 MIAG chassis with bolted on armour and a 1944 Saukopf gun...
