DT for StuG III?

DT for StuG III?

Postby flynblu » Mon Oct 02, 2006 1:14 am

I am attempting to build a 1/35 Finnish WWII StuG III Ausf G. Does anyone know if someone makes the proper DT machine gun for this conversion? Everyone seems to make all models of the DshKs, but not the DTs.

Thanks

Combat Models here in Finland do make a white metal version of the DT (the CO-3503 Degtrajev Pikakivääri "Tankki-Emma" listed on their site).

Modelkasten has also - if I remember correctly - at some point made a DT.

Thanks; I keep hoping someone would make a complete conversion set for a Suomi StuG instead of having to track down all the parts and pieces separately.

Thanks

Yes I am; also the other JS items. The only problem with their items is that they are solid; I like to open up the model (this is what is stopping me from getting their BT-42 turret).

I'd like to get some of their items (I keep looking at the Kuivalainen website), but it seems no one takes credit cards or PayPal online. Is there a law in Finland preventing this?

Thanks again

There is no law preventing the use of creditcards online here in Finland. Kuivalainen - as many other vendors - is just a one-man company. Using the "official" online payment solutions provided by the Finnish credit card companies might be quite expensive for a small company (I really don't know, just guessing now...).
You might want to point out the advantages of PayPal for him.

Otherwise I highly recommend T:mi Kuivalainen! Martti is reliable, fast and I have never had any problems doing business with him.

I may just order everything through the mail even though it may take awhile.

Thanks,

Kuivalainen takes creditcards - stopped by last summer and paid for my stuff with a Mastercard.
As far as I remember it also is listed on his web page ... didn't have time to check

If you run into any "snags" shoot me a mail through the PM ... I'm about to order some more stuff from him and I'll sort things out if need be :D

I was thinking of buying the Combat Models white metal set, but if one of you (like me...) have Verlinden's set for KV-1 (no. 1329), there's a nice resin DT machine gun that can be used!!!!!!!!!! So, instead of ordering something new, do a check-up of you're model stack and maybe you will find a nice surprise just like I did today!!!!!!!!![/i]
