tanker's uniforms!

Postby François » Fri Sep 07, 2007 6:44 am

What was the type of uniform that Finnish tankers wore? Was it a version of the army's uniform or some sort of coveralls? My aim is to modify existing figurines to look like a WW2 Finnish tanker. I'm pretty sure that this type of figurines don't exist so, I'm not even searching.....

This seems to be the most viewed topic in this section of the forum, yet no-one has answered the call yet?
I too am looking to convert a figure into a Finnish Sturmi crew member, but do not have a clue on how they were dressed in 1944?
Is there anyone out there who can shed some light on this?
Jan :)

During WW2 the Finnish tank crews dressed in the black coveralls or jackets and trousers. Look the photos:

Those photos are quoted from Åke Lindman's tank film "Tali-Ihantala 1944".
