I believe that our member Jaakko Pihlaja and the "telatappi" -boys from the Finnish Armour Museum were the ones driving the museum tanks featured in that movie.

Wow! Can't wait to see it, but will it be distributed internationally or just for the European market?

I have no idea. There will probably be a DVD later on, and if so happends, you'll probably be able to buy it on-line from webstores in Finland.

I hope so... Exept for "The Winter War", Finnish war movies are quite rare in North America... Unfortunately!

Sorry, off-topic!

Excuse me, but here is one off-topic subject... In the "Tali-Ihantala 1944" movie is even a neo-manufactured/ re-producted/ replica Focke-Wulf 190, painted in the original markings as colonel Erich Rudorffer's aircraft of colonel-leutnant Kuhlmey's department JG54.

Here is a link about the Fw-190 replica and roll a bit of down, so you can see some photos:

Of course the original and genuine tanks are in the movie. Those are not some replicas! I can not wait a premiere of the movie "Tali-Ihantala 1944"! Hopefully it would be well directed and acted, not a disappointment.

Yes, most tanks in Tali-ihantala 1944 are real deal, like the Stugs and T-34's. But also a couple of mock ups, although they are the best mock ups i have ever seen.

Nothing beats the raw power of russian diesel engine, the beastlike sound of Rolls Royce Meteor V-12, or the beautiful shapes of White HalfTrack.

The actual trailer is now uploaded to the site mentioned in the very first post in this thread. Looks like a very nice movie with lots of tanks!

I went and saw the film today. Very, very nice tank sequences! Highly recommended!

The film itself can be a bit hard to understand if you haven't been reading Finnish wartime history. Otherwise a quite nice film.

Today I have seen the Tali-Ihantala 1944-movie, too. The best part is exhibitions of the various tanks and the real Focke-Wulf airplanes. The weakness is many short episods without a consistent plot. Otherwise, that's the excellent war-historical movie of Finnish military. I recommend, too!
