Finnish Leopard 2A4

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am a German modeller, searching for information on the Finnish Leopard 2A4 with the new storage box at the turret rear. In MilitaryPhotos.net there was a small film in which one Leopard carried the new turret storage. I want to build a Finnish Leopard with this new turret storage, but my references are poor. Can somebody help me with photos or drawings?
Cheers and best regards
Stephan

To my knowledge, there is only one Leopard with this storage rack. And it's still experimental.

I'll have to re-check this...

Yep,

I have the same impression as Jaakko. I think the "Panssari" -magazine mentioned it.

Anyway, when (or if) the boxes are taken into use, the Leos featured in the parades during the summer will probably have them. We'll just have to wait and see.

By the way, Echelon Fine Details is just about to publish a decal-sheet for the Nordic Leo's. I have seen the artwork for the Finnish ones, and it looks very nice.

And now the decal-sheet is out!

I now have some pics of a Leopard with the rear box. The pics can be found here. I also added the measurements of the box.

Stowage boxes and baskets on Leopard 2 A4

The Leopard 2 A4, Ps 273-89, has had the prototype set of boxes and baskets in trials for two years. Now the first pre-production box & basket set was shown on Ps 273-140, but not as a complete set. E.g. the tube for fire extinguisher seems to be missing.

Worth pointing out is that the tanks nowadays have added reflectors in front and rear as well as the E70 stripe plates on mudflaps.

For the antenna take a look at this: http://www.cojot.com/pdf/WB30150M_2007_1.pdf . It's nearly identical to the WB3090M/B shown in the photos.
